Labradorite: This is a variety of Feldspar known as Plagioclase Feldspar. Labradorite exhibits “labradorescence” which means the ability to reflect prismatic colors. The most important deposits are found in Canada, Finland, and Madagascar. This top quality specimen comes from the Tulear Province in Madagascar, producer of some of the finest and brightest material available and it radiates the deepest colors. This specimen features a broad band of deep marine aqua colors that takes on into a Caribbean underwater vista. Whether observed under bright lights or softer ambient lighting, the dancing sheets of iridescent color will always delight with their magical ever-changing movements.
