Ammonite (Inner Circle): This outstanding Ammonite Fossil, from Madagascar, dates back to the Cretaceous period, 110 Million Years Ago. Ammonites were predatory mollusks that resembled a squid with a shell. They had eyes, tentacles and spiral shells. The last lineages disappeared 65 Million Years Ago. This excellent specimen displays the white agate inner designs. It’s equally intriguing distinctive “oak leaf” suture pattern on the outside is featured on Fossil Era II (Top Side). Each side is amazing!
