Brazilian Agate & Amethyst: Brazil produces some of the worlds’ most interesting and beautiful Amethyst & Agate specimens. Here is a fine example of a slice which shows Quartz and Amethyst crystals together in a captivating stone. Even without the Amethyst edging this specimen has several different varieties of crystal structure which create a mesmerizing feast of mineralogical beauty. Looking closely, you will find at least three different types of crystal formations. There are also several interesting structural areas including pockets of Quartz crystals which always capture the eye of the viewer. Finally, but not least is the Amethyst tipped crystals along the border of one side. This specimen is one of the very finest from our latest buying trip.
