Smoke on the Water
Mixed Media - Stone Creation
24 x 18 x 2 in (60.96 x 45.72 x 5.08 cm)
Brazilian Agate: Brazil produces the majority of the agate mined in the world bringing all types and colors to the market. This specimen is a meandering river of bubbling agate creating a most unusual elongated specimen. It is almost like the creation of this stone has been captured and frozen in time for the viewer to see the flowing mater moving and creating this masterpiece of mineralization. The bands of blue, caramel and black border the inner area which features bubbly agate and a nice pocket of white druzy quartz. This specimen was the first to catch our attention in a large display of hundreds of others on our last buying trip. Notice how the unusual shape of the specimen has been captured in the beautifully painted surrounding.
